The placement model

A field of candidates.
One hire who stays.

A direct hire is a bet you make once. ATI runs the search, sourcing, screening, and reference checks matched to the role, so the person who lands on your payroll is the one who fits and stays, not the first résumé that looked right.

Your hire
We screen a field of candidates so you place the one who fits, and back it with replacement support if they do not stick.
What's included

The search is ours.
The hire is yours.

You get a placement, not a pile of résumés. ATI carries the sourcing and screening and hands you a short list of people worth interviewing.

Targeted sourcingWe recruit against your actual role and pay range, not a generic job board post, and reach passive candidates you would not see.
Screening and references at our costBackground, work history, and reference checks matched to the role, completed before you interview.
A short list, not a stackYou interview a handful of qualified people worth your time, not a queue of maybes.
Placed on your payrollThe hire becomes your W-2 employee directly. No trial period and no markup on their hours.
Replacement supportIf a direct hire does not stick within the agreed window, we recruit the replacement.
When it fits

For the seats you fill once.

Direct hire is the path when the role is permanent, the stakes are real, and you would rather wait for the right person than rent a temporary one.

Supervisors and leads

Recruit the people who will run a shift or a crew, where judgment and staying power matter.

Permanent core roles

Fill the seats that anchor your operation with someone you intend to keep for years.

Hard-to-source skills

Reach specialized or passive candidates who are not answering job posts.

High-cost-of-error roles

Where a bad hire is expensive to unwind, invest in the search up front.

Backfilling a key departure

Replace a critical person deliberately instead of scrambling to plug the gap.

Building a bench

Add the next supervisor or specialist before you are desperate for them.

Where it applies

The right hire, for any floor we staff.

Direct hire runs the same across every industry: we recruit to your role and standard, and the person lands on your payroll. The roles and the screening change with the setting.

Direct hire FAQ

Answers built for buyers.

Direct hire is permanent placement recruiting. ATI sources, screens, and reference-checks candidates for a role you intend to fill permanently, and the person you select is hired directly onto your payroll as your W-2 employee. There is no trial period and no markup on their hours.

With contract-to-hire, the worker starts as ATI's W-2 employee for a trial period and converts to your payroll if they prove out. With direct hire, you hire the person onto your payroll from day one. Choose direct hire when you already know you want a permanent employee, and contract-to-hire when you want to see them on the job first.

Permanent and supervisory roles across the industries we serve, from skilled hourly and lead positions to site supervisors and specialized operational roles. We recruit to your role and pay range, not a generic template.

If a direct-hire placement does not stick within the agreed window, ATI recruits the replacement. Exact terms are documented before the search begins.

Direct hire is a one-time placement fee, based on the role and its compensation and documented before the search begins. There is no ongoing markup, because the person is your employee, not ours.
